A Crypto Box

Alpha Box

Build a research desk so your trades start with a reason, not a feeling.

The difference between gambling and trading is usually a chart, a level, and an alert set in advance. The Alpha Box is the research layer of A Crypto Box: the place you decide what to watch and why, before you ever open an exchange or connect a bot.

TradingView is the terminal we point to here. It is where you build chart layouts, set price alerts, run screeners, and keep watchlists across crypto and the wider market. It will not tell you the future. It will keep you from trading on memory and panic.

Who This Box Is For

You keep entering trades on impulse and want a level and a reason written down first.
You want price alerts so you stop staring at charts and start getting notified instead.
You track both crypto and traditional markets and want one place for all of it.
You want decision support, not a black box promising signals that always work.

Charts that hold your plan

Save layouts with the indicators, drawings, and timeframes you actually use. A consistent chart setup means you read each market the same way instead of reinventing it every time.

Alerts so you stop doomscrolling

Set alerts at the levels that matter and let the platform watch for you. Reacting to a triggered alert beats refreshing a chart for hours and trading out of boredom.

Screeners and watchlists for focus

Use screeners to filter the noise down to setups that fit your rules, and watchlists to keep a short, deliberate list instead of chasing whatever is trending.

Operator playbook

How to turn a chart into an actual decision

A terminal full of indicators is not research. A short, repeatable process that ends in a yes or no is.

  1. 01Define what you are looking forDecide the setup before you open the chart: the level, the trend condition, the confirmation. Research is testing whether the market matches your rule, not hunting for any rule that fits.
  2. 02Mark the levels and set alertsDraw the levels that would change your mind and attach alerts to them. Now the market comes to you instead of pulling you into hours of screen time.
  3. 03Write the reason before you actNote your entry, invalidation, and target in one line. If you cannot explain why in a sentence, that is the signal to wait.
  4. 04Hand off to execution and riskOnce the plan is clear, the trade itself belongs to your exchange and risk rules. Keep research and execution as separate steps so emotion does not blur them.

Indicators describe, they do not predict

Charts and indicators summarize what has happened. They can sharpen a plan, but they cannot guarantee an outcome or remove the chance of being wrong.

More indicators is not more edge

Stacking twenty indicators usually produces conflicting signals and analysis paralysis. A clean chart you understand beats a cluttered one you do not.

Research is not execution

A terminal helps you decide what to watch and why. Position sizing, stops, and platform rules still decide what actually happens to your money.

Straight answers

Questions People Actually Ask

Is there a free version of TradingView?+

TradingView offers a free tier with core charting, plus paid plans that add more alerts, indicators per chart, and other features. Start free, and only upgrade if you hit real limits in your workflow.

Can I trade directly from the charts?+

TradingView connects to a number of brokers and exchanges for execution, but the Alpha Box treats it mainly as a research and alert layer. Your exchange and risk rules still govern the actual trade.

Do indicators and signals actually work?+

Indicators are tools for describing price and momentum, not crystal balls. They can support a disciplined plan, but no indicator or signal works every time. Treat anything promising guaranteed calls with heavy suspicion.

How many indicators should I actually use?+

Fewer than you think. Most consistent traders rely on a small, well-understood set rather than a crowded chart. Pick the few that match your strategy and learn them deeply instead of collecting more.
